The East Denver Collaborative (EDC) is comprised of 17 neighborhoods from Northeast Park Hill to Hampden South. The EDC is designed to develop a positive environment in our community where children and their families are supported to thrive and grow. More than 60 community partners assist the EDC in offering services and outreach to families in need. To serve our unique community, a major focus of our work is on youth engagement and gang prevention and intervention. We address poverty issues in East Denver by connecting families to community resources for the knowledge, skills, and tools they need for self-sufficiency. The EDC also offers a number of events throughout the year to build community capacity and gather the community together on behalf of children.

The EDC is a program of Denver Children’s Home (DCH), Colorado’s first nonprofit. Throughout its 132 years of service, DCH has consistently met the needs of children and families. Denver Children's Home sees in every child an opportunity for health and healing. Denver Children’s Home provides a therapeutic, safe place for emotionally distressed children, adolescents and their families to heal and grow.

East Denver is economically and ethnically diverse and rich in neighborhood history, identity, and community involvement. The EDC offers a welcoming, home-like center for families to visit and get connected to the numerous resources that our community offers.
